We are on the brink of an era marked by courage, adaptability, and innovation. Each sign of the Zodiac has its role to play. As we navigate this cosmic landscape together this year, we will understand the meaning of this very profoundly. 2025 offers an invitation to participate actively in shaping a future that honours our highest aspirations while remaining grounded in shared responsibility. The combination of expansive dreams with structured plans will define this year as one of catalytic growth, encouraging us to build a world that reflects both idealism and enduring value.
One of the great benefits of understanding Astrology is that it brings to our conscience the fact that we live in a Solar System with constant planetary cycles. These planetary cycles, like the most obvious one between the Sun and the Moon, can be seen as part of the "cosmic net" that weaves through all of existence, shaping and synchronising the rhythms of life, collective growth, and personal evolution. Much like threads in a woven fabric, planetary movements create patterns and cycles that repeat and interlock over time, influencing both outer events and inner experiences. These cycles serve as markers of time and transformation, guiding us through phases of initiation, growth, challenge, and renewal. The year 2025 heralds a transformative period marked by a blend of tension and visionary possibility, as a few significant planetary aspects converge: the ongoing Jupiter-Saturn square (active until June 2025) and the historic Saturn-Neptune conjunction, added to the fact that Pluto - for the first time in the lives of everyone alive today - will travel through Aquarius, something it hasn’t done since 1778. These transits offer challenges and profound opportunities for growth, on both a societal and individual level, suggesting that we are in the midst of an era of radical change and reimagining of collective values.
The Jupiter-Saturn square continues to push society to grapple with the balance between optimism and realism, expansion and limitation. This aspect is one of re-evaluation, pushing each of us to seek sustainable growth within the confines of reality.

Throughout 2025, this square serves as a reminder that while we may be tempted to pursue progress and growth, doing so without grounding or balance or a plan, will only lead to setbacks. One interesting note is that Kamala Harris and Donald Trump both have this square angle in their birth charts, and have become the voices of this discord and division we all experience, no matter which country we live in.
Adding intensity to this backdrop, the Saturn-Neptune conjunction occurs in Aries for the first time since 1703. This alignment signals the beginning of a new cycle; blending the structural and disciplined energy of Saturn with the dissolving, idealistic nature of Neptune. In Aries, a sign of courage, new beginnings, and self-assertion, this conjunction emphasises pioneering visions, collective courage, and a readiness to break from past patterns. This alignment offers an opportunity for healing through action, making 2025 a year of both visionary new starts and practical applications of ideals. This is a true beginning of the Hero’s journey.

“Pluto's journey through Aquarius from 2025 until 2044 marks a profound and transformative era”
Pluto's journey through Aquarius from 2025 until 2044 marks a profound and transformative era - one that will challenge and reshape society, technology, and collective identity in unprecedented ways. Aquarius, as a sign, represents innovation, humanitarian ideals, community, and the unconventional, while Pluto symbolises deep transformation, power dynamics, and the uncovering of hidden forces. This transit is set to impact our world on a collective level, bringing long-term shifts in how we approach technology, social structures, and our sense of interconnectedness, as well as the vision of life on Earth like never before. Aquarius is about multicultural communities, networking, and cooperation. At a personal level, it will definitely transform the lives of all those with planets in Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and especially Aquarius, but also Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aries—just as it did for Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn over the past 16 years during its journey through Capricorn since 2008.
ABOUT CRISTINA LAIRD

Astrology has been a lifelong calling for me, something I’ve felt deeply connected to for as long as I can remember. At 28, I decided to study it seriously and moved to London, where I joined Liz Greene’s Centre for Psychological Astrology (CPA), alongside incredible minds like Howard Sasportas, Nick Campion, and Robert Hand. Here, I found my calling, and eventually I began to explore the intersections of astrology and psychology more deeply in my practice. This realization led me to train intensively in psychotherapy, psychodrama, and psychodance over the next 15 years, eventually adding shamanism to my path which, of course, transformed my approach to the practice of astrology forever.
